DAY 1 | SA DEC FLOWER VILLAGE – HERITAGE TOWN – VIET MEKONG FARMSTAY

After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at the hotel. Depart by private vehicle for Sa Dec, a charming riverside town in the Mekong Delta, approximately 2.5 hours from Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho . Along the way, enjoy views of the countryside, rice fields, fruit orchards, and local life as you travel deeper into the heart of the Mekong Delta.

• Arrival in Sa Dec: Begin your journey in Sa Dec, a charming riverside town famous for its flower-growing tradition, vibrant local culture, and historic trading heritage.

• Hands-on Flower Farming at Tu Ton Rose Garden: Meet local flower farmers and learn about the generations-old craft that has made Sa Dec Vietnam’s flower capital. Participate in simple farming activities such as planting and caring for flowers while listening to stories of village life and agricultural traditions.

• Local Cuisine Experience: Enjoy a lunch featuring regional specialties that reflect the flavors and ingredients of the Mekong Delta.

• Huynh Thuy Le Ancient House: Discover one of Sa Dec’s most iconic heritage sites, where French and Vietnamese architectural influences blend together. Learn about the town’s history, river commerce, and the famous love story that connected East and West.

• Kien An Cung Temple: Visit a beautifully preserved Chinese-style temple and gain insight into the beliefs, architecture, and cultural contributions of the Chinese-Vietnamese community in the Mekong Delta.

• Journey to Local Farmstay: Travel deeper into the wetlands of Dong Thap Muoi, witnessing the landscape gradually transform from a bustling river town to peaceful agricultural and wetland ecosystems.

• Pioneer Wetland Memory Experience: Step back in time and discover the story of Dong Thap Muoi’s early settlers. Through exhibits, artifacts, and local storytelling, learn how generations adapted to life in a landscape shaped by seasonal floods, wetlands, and resilience.

• Traditional Folk Cake Making: Join local hosts in preparing traditional Vietnamese folk cakes using recipes and techniques passed down through generations. Enjoy the cakes fresh from the kitchen while learning about their cultural significance.

• Farm-to-Table Southern Lunch: Savor a meal featuring organic ST25 rice- the best rice of the world , garden vegetables, fresh fish, and seasonal lotus specialties sourced directly from the farm and nearby producers.

• The Story of Lotus: Enjoy a refreshing lotus sweet soup while discovering the important role lotus plays in local culture, cuisine, and sustainable farming practices in Dong Thap.

• Living with Lotus and Wetland Activities: Experience life in the wetlands through hands-on activities including lotus harvesting, searching for lotus roots, learning about wild rice, interacting with buffaloes in flooded fields, and participating in traditional fishing and net-pulling activities. These experiences offer a deeper understanding of how local communities have lived in harmony with nature for generations.

DAY 3 | TRAM CHIM NATIONAL PARK – MELALEUCA FOREST – FARM SUNSET – LOTUS CUISINE

• • Departure: Early morning from the Farmstay after your breakfast or we can take our food away and have it at the forest. 
  • Transportation: Bicycle and traditional hand-rowed wooden boat
  • Duration: Full-day nature and conservation experience

• Highlight attractions: 

• Cycling Through the Wetlands: Begin the day with a gentle bicycle ride from the farmstay to Tram Chim National Park, passing through peaceful countryside landscapes and local communities.
  

• Tram Chim National Park Exploration: Accompanied by park rangers, board a traditional hand-rowed wooden boat and venture deep into one of Southeast Asia’s most important wetland ecosystems. Discover the unique biodiversity of Dong Thap Muoi, including melaleuca forests, seasonal floodplains, native fish species, waterbirds, and conservation initiatives that help protect this internationally recognized Ramsar site. 

• Picnic Lunch in the Melaleuca Forest: Enjoy a simple lunch surrounded by nature, immersed in the sounds and scenery of the wetland forest. 

• Conservation & Wetland Discovery: Continue exploring the park while learning about ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and the relationship between local communities and the wetlands.
